IWLA Conference and Trade Show

Prism Logistics, a state-of-the-art provider of a full spectrum of warehouse logistics services in its California distribution centers, will participate in a panel presentation and discussion about the Multi-generation Succession in the Family Businessto attendees of the upcoming 2013 IWLA Convention & Expo, which will be held March 10-12 at the Loews Portofino Hotel at Universal Orlando.  Entitled “Grow Your Own Way,” the International Warehouse Logistics Association’s conference focuses on providing information and services that help drive member success by increasing new business development, maximizing return from existing customers and finding best practices to reduce expenses.

The four Prism public warehouse facilities in California encompass over 750,000 square feet of capacity to meet thewarehousing, storage, assembly, transportation and distribution needs of manufacturers and distributors.  For those companies which engage in the international import and export business and require a distribution center California is the number one location for opening up opportunities to the lucrative Asian markets.

Prism’s  public warehouses allow the company to quickly and efficiently receive, assemble and repackage product for its customers. An in-house fleet and major carrier options enable the company to provide just-in-time distribution services, while easy access to the ports of Oakland and San Francisco expedite the management of international import and export services. Available warehouse services also include a variety of value-added pick-and-pack and fulfillment options such as kitting, labeling, light assembly and shrink wrapping.

“We are extremely proud to be associated with the warehousing companies that are members of the IWLA and look forward to being at this conference,” commented Prism’s president, Jere Van Puffelen. “Since our beginning in 1993 our logistics warehouse management team has provided services which have enabled us to become recognized as leaders in the warehousing logistics industry both regionally and nationally. Our customer service philosophy meshes perfectly with the goals of the IWLA in that we become partners who help our clients’ businesses grow at the speed of trust, real timeinformation and product distribution.”

Prism’s dedication to the concept of partnering with customers is shown in its addition of a Customer Service team at each of its public warehouses. Even though the warehouses operate on a fully automated basis to track, monitor, move and manage product, the onsite team is responsible for handling any special customer service requirements.

Van Puffelen is a past chairman of the IWLA; he and Prism’s vice president, Paul Van de Roovaart, have served as leaders and pioneers in warehouse distribution management. With nearly 500 member companies, the IWLA is the unified voice of the value-added warehousing logistics industry and works to improve the operations and efficiency of the warehousing industry on a national and international basis. Members are committed to protecting the free flow of products across international borders.
