Preparing the Biotech Supply Chain 2025: Move it Don’t Lose it!
Dynamic panel discusses globalization, brexit and industry 4.0 at 2nd annual collaborative CSCMP / BSMA full day event
The BioSupply Management Alliance (BSMA) recently hosted its 9th Annual Forum, and 2nd in collaboration with our SF Bay Area Regional Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). PRISM Logistics was proud to support this event as a major sponsor, for the full day discussion of trends, challenges and opportunities in Foster City, CA.
Manufacturers, Distributors and the third party logistics service providers that serve this dynamic sector need to understand trends and act fast in this ever-evolving industry to survive and thrive.
Michele Carroll, President of CSCMP San Francisco, one of the 9000-member global organization’s larger and more dynamic Roundtables, introduced the CSCMP portion of the full day sessions. PRISM is pleased to see the transformation of our regional CSCMP with Michele’s leadership, and and attention given to sectors such as this one, traditionally somewhat overlooked by the global organization, while always such an important customer segment for PRISM.
Event Chair and BSMA Advisory Board member, Mark Buck of Bio-Rad Laboratories introduced Sean Monohan, Partner at AT Kearney and lead author of the Annual State of Logistics Report, who highlighted the fresh 2016 issue in this, the first year that AT Kearney has assumed responsibility for the research and reporting. Sean’s command of the material was top notch and a clear step above historical handling of this information. Let us know if you’re interested in a digital copy of the full report.
Sean then moderated a panel discussion with supply chain leaders from Biolog Europe and Bio-Rad Laboratories, with particular focus on projected impacts of Brexit and attendant regulatory issues. Panelists Franck Toussaint of Biolog Europe (who came in from Belgium for the panel) and Horacio Enriquez of Bio-Rad Laboratories demonstrated clear grasp of the situations at hand and how companies such as theirs should brace for the coming challenges and opportunities. The capacity crowd of nearly 250 was captivated and appreciative.
We’re pleased to support CSCMP San Francisco and appreciate how this Roundtable now focuses more, in collaboration with BSMS on this important market segment.
